Grafted plant of 110 cm, two years old, within the calendar year it will bear fruit NB for luxuriant growth and production it is advisable to transfer it into a not too large pot (25-30 in circumference) and to fertilise it with lupins, or granular fertiliser for citrus fruits Buddha’s Hand Lemon: what flavour is it? The Buddha’s Hand Lemon is not as sour as the traditional lemon. This can also be guessed by smelling its scent, which is much more delicate and only makes one imagine a citrus fruit but does not make one suspect that one is in the presence of a lemon variety. Thanks to this elegant and highly appreciated characteristic, this lemon is used to perfume linen and clothes inside drawers or cupboards. This does not detract from the fact that it can also be used in the kitchen, for example in the preparation of candied fruit or typical Sicilian-Calabrian sweets The peel in particular is sorted and can also be ingested once fermented. The whole fruit is used in alcohol-based drinks, such as liqueurs, which are prepared by boiling this lemon to prevent the peel from being too hard and therefore unpalatable.
